Podcast Guest: Dr. Kirsten Slagter, DDS, PhD, graduated as a dentist in 2007 at the University of Groningen (cum laude). After graduation, she became a scientific researcher at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department of the University Medical Centre Groningen and finished her PhD in oral implantology 2016. In 2024 she changed to the Dental department of the university. Her area of interest is oral implantology and oral surgery. Kirsten started more than 10 years ago the Tongue Tie Clinic as the first clinic in the Netherlands and continental Europe for consultations and treatments. This in combination with the Tongue Tie Institute Netherlands regarding scientific research and (patient) information. Her goal is to make health care accessible for everyone and to help babies, children and adults with their oral issues and problems.
