Insurance

Cuddles and Milk can bill many insurance plans, so some families may have little or no out-of-pocket cost depending on their coverage. After an appointment is requested, your insurance information can be collected and your benefits verified. If your insurance is not accepted, a superbill can be provided for you to submit for possible reimbursement. HSA, flexible spending and self-pay are also accepted.

How do I set up an appointment?
  1. Choose your provider, location or virtual care option.
  2. Select an available appointment type and time.
  3. Pay if applicable. Some insurance appointments may have no upfront cost.
  4. Complete your intake and consent forms before your visit.

You’ll receive appointment information and reminders after booking. Your completed paperwork helps your IBCLC prepare for your visit.

What if my insurance isn’t accepted?

If your insurance is not accepted, you can still book as a self-pay client. Cuddles and Milk can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

HSA and flexible spending accounts are also accepted. Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan.

How many visits will I need?

Every baby and feeding situation is different. We’ll work together during your first visit, develop a care plan and determine whether follow-up care would be helpful based on your family’s needs and goals.

Consultations also include two weeks of email and text support so you can ask questions as you work through your care plan.

Payments, Policies & Privacy

Important appointment information

  • All visits require a credit card to book.
  • Insurance visits require a credit card on file. Your card will not be charged unless you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend your appointment.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged the full rate of the booked appointment. Insurance cannot be billed for a cancelled appointment or no-show.
  • Non-insurance visits require payment when booking. Credit cards, FSA and HSA cards are accepted.
  • Medical history and consent for care are required for all appointments. Insurance visits may require additional forms. Required forms must be completed within 24 hours of booking.
  • For communication containing medical information, please use IntakeQ, our charting platform.
